Senior Bunker Trader-Fuel oil recruitment
The trader, reporting to the Supply Manager, will regularly interact with customers, suppliers and the internal sales and credit personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with company systems and operating processes and input transactions into the company systems
- Understand the basic bunker purchasing process and terms commonly used and assist in pre-sale and pre/post-delivery information gathering and follow-up
- Become familiar with the key people, including customers, suppliers, transport companies, port authorities, surveyors, etc. and become a reliable point of contact for customer requests and transactions
- Conduct market researches and prospect for new business. Develop and maintain a portfolio of suppliers
Requirements:
- A Degree or Diploma with 5 years of knowledge of and experience working in the related brokering field (marine, oil or shipping industry)
- Basic financial derivative instruments knowledge preferred
- Results-oriented, able to develop maintain good customer relationship
- Pleasant personality, meticulous, positive and committed
- Ability to multi-task in a highly-stressed fast-paced environment
- Good team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
- At ease working in multicultural environment and ability to interact effectively with individuals of all levels in the organization
- Professional presence and absolute integrity
- Complete fluency in English and mother tongue, proficiency in other languages is a plus
