Senior Business Analyst
Our client is one of the UK's largest investment fund managers offering a full range of solutions such as ISA’s, SIPP, Investment Fund, Share Dealing and Wealth Management services who is urgently looking for a Senior Business Analyst on a contract to work within UK Business Technology and Investment Services with a focus on their Wrap Platform strategy.
The Business Analyst plays a key role in defining and initiating technology projects, by working closely with business representatives and the technology team to define and document a mutually agreed set of project requirements.
You will currently be working for an Asset Management / Investment / Wealth company with knowledge of investment management solutions including platform suppliers by companies such as FNZ and GBST.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing business and systems analysis support to the UK Business
- Capture, clarify and document business requirements through a range of analysis techniques
- Analyse and translate business requirements into systems requirements documents and system design specifications
- Facilitate business technology workshops for stakeholders of all levels
- Writing procedures for retail investment products
- Produce and review relevant project documentation
- Review test scripts for system acceptance
- Liaise with the off-shore delivery team and provide clear communication of functional and non-functional requirements
- Liaise with third party partners and suppliers
- Provide timely and accurate status updates to the Project Manager
- Monitor current business/system analysis working practices and take initiative to advise follow-through on suitable pragmatic continuous improvements
The successful candidate will need to have the following experience:
- Detail knowledge and understanding of Fund Supermarket, Wrap Platform (including cash accounting), Distribution Channels
- Software platform implementation projects
- Knowledge of vendor companies such as FNZ, GBST
- Experience of leading large analysis projects
- Knowledge of Investment Retail Funds processes and procedures
- Experience of business process re-engineering, analysis, user requirement gathering, gap analysis, cost benefit analysis, workshop facilitation business case development
- Industry Qualifications: ISEB, IAQ, or IMC
