Senior Business Analyst (Dodd-Frank) – Investment Banking recruitment
Hatstand is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to work with a regulatory central group supporting various businesses within the American Global Banking and Markets area at a tier 1 investment bank.
The ideal candidate will be a business systems analyst with at least 7 years functional experience gained in the capital markets industry working for a primary dealer or a major financial institution. This should include analysis experience relevant to front and/or middle office systems (Calypso/Summit preferably) and financial products (primarily Interest Rates, Credit, FX, Equity derivative products). Role would be based either out of New York, NY or Jersey City, NJ (negotiable for the right candidate).
Requirements
- Subject matter expertise in Front/Middle or Back office processes
- Proven experience working as a BA or PM on a Dodd Frank or other similar regulatory project
- Practical knowledge of one or more of the following derivatives products – Credit, Rates, Equities, FX.
- Great understanding of the Dodd-Frank Act (particularly Title VII) as well as the current OTC regulatory pressures that Dodd-Frank has introduced
- Excellent business writing skills - Ability to capture process details in a thorough concise manner, and structure documents logically
- Strong interpersonal, verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across diverse departments
- Outstanding business judgment and capacity to consult on and satisfy business needs
- Ability to support other work-streams, such as Volcker
- Logical and analytical thinking – BA degree required (Masters preferred)
Your strong academic background will be complemented perfectly with extensive experience in the Project Management Life cycle; business analysis / process analysis, stakeholder management, risk and issues management. You should also have the ability to develop test plans and use cases. This position will only suit someone who has developed a thorough understanding of the latest regulatory initiatives.
