Senior Business Analyst with knowledge and experience of build Energy trading and risk management software is required to join one of the leading providers. My client is a big player in the etrm and ctrm vendor space and has over 500 clients across the globe. Their software solution has won a number of awards for its capability and ease of use. They have knowledge and experience that dwarfs their closest rivals. Due to great success they are looking to hire a senior business analyst to join their European delivery team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in working with new clients to deliver the solution they are looking for. You will spend your time meeting with the traders and other business users and capturing the requirements from them. You will turn this detailed information in to a functional spec for the technical teams to code and develop. You will carry out gap analysis after gaining the spec and also prepare for UAT. A key role for you will be to advice the client on business and strategy for using the solution. You will also be task with delivering workshops to the client to ensure they all fully understand how to use the software.
The ideal candidate will need to have good knowledge and understanding of the front office trading environment from and energy trading prospectus. Knowledge of Oil, Gas, Coal, or Power is crucial to this role. You will need to understand pricing and options both physical and financial trades and have a good understanding of risk modules. Experience of a trading system is vital for this position to really understand how they are put together and how the work. You will need a proven background in gathering requirements and writing functional specs. You will need strong presentation skills and the ability to build relationships with senior level managers.
