Senior Business Analyst
Daugherty Senior Business Analysts possess expertise gained from extensive experience and industry research of best practices, develops solutions for unpredictable and varied problems, and makes decisions regarding process improvements. Manage correction of errors involving working with senior managers across the enterprise and / or outside companies. Acts as a lead and may have lead responsibilities for 4 or more business analysts including training and mentoring of various levels of individuals.
Requirements Gathering and Reconciliation
• Serve as subject matter expert and or lead large sessions of four or more business analysts to analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex problems using diverse methods and tools.
• Prioritize integrated requirements to ensure that requirements are complete and documented.
• Advise client users on application design alternatives and business process change opportunities.
• Connect user needs to emerging technology in order to acquire or design tools, techniques and approaches that allow client users to realize optimal project delivery results.
Analyze, Solve Business Problems, Test
• Shape requirements into valuable business solutions and presentations using strong documentation skills.
• Deliver integrated business systems support to users (internal and external to IT), applying an expert understanding of the business issues and the impact of technology.
• Advocate the initiation of projects, when necessary, to achieve business and IT objectives.
• Oversee the development of the business cases and solution proposals in support of improved functionality with regard to Return on Investment (ROI) and long-term firm benefit.
• Lead the root cause analysis and resolution for complex problems.
• Provide reliable top-down and bottom-up estimates.
• Effectively and efficiently use all applications in the Microsoft Office Suite to deliver create documents.
• Lead Change Control and Scope Management efforts.
• Lead test planning and all test cycles using proven testing techniques.
• Successfully identify, address, manage and escalate Risks and Issues.
• Experienced in one or more project management tools such as MS Project.
Leadership
• Effectively leads a team of four or more business analysts.
• Maintain experience in tracking and managing projects using MS Project or similar PM software.
• Coach less senior Business Analysts in analysis techniques, problem solving and business knowledge.
Consulting and Management Requirements:
· Qualified candidates are required to have client-facing full lifecycle project experience
· Development of statements of work and/or client proposals
· Broad system level expertise across multiple computing platforms and technologies with the ability to influence direction around information management at the Enterprise Level
· Organize knowledge transfer to clients
· Develop and manage vendor relationships
· Lead workshops for client education
· Identify opportunities to add value to the client's organization by effective use of information management
· Build relationships with CXOs and key stakeholders responsible for information and performance management in client's organization
· Ability to scope out the effort and cost for an enterprise reporting solution
· Ability to define how an enterprise information system will align with the organization's business and strategic objectives
Education Requirement: 4-year college degree, preferably in Computer Science or Business-related studies.
Experience Requirement: 5+ years related experience in a project management or business liaison role within an IT Department, preferred depths in at least one of the following areas: systems integration, financial analysis, programming, financial industry. Prior Consulting experience required (experience from one of the Big 4 Consulting Firms a plus!)
