Emerging Health Seeks a Senior Level Business Analyst with expertise in the HIM / Documentation Improvement Areas.
This position will be one member of the team that will implement the new HIM / CDCI (Clinical Documentation and Coding Improvement) application being acquired by MMC.
The successful candidate should have a robust background in the HIM / Medical Records field and should be intimately familiar with HIM/CDI process flow, rules regulations relevant to this subject domain, and have served in a pertinent HIM related position for a minimum of 3-5 years.
The candidate should also have extensive experience in the ICD9-CM / PCS coding environment and be fully versed on the upcoming change to ICD-10-CM / PCS, inclusive of reimbursement methodologies (MS-DRG, AP-DRG, APR-DRG). Familiarity with the Documentation Improvement initiatives is a significant benefit.
Additionally, the successful candidate should also have a secondary background with the information technology area and the implementation of applications that support these disciplines.
The Associate will be responsible for working with the end users of these new applications in determining and defining business requirements, functional specifications, revised and/or new workflow's, and related items. The Associate will be responsible for the documentation of the designs, and functional specifications, scope, and functionality of applications. The associate will be fully trained on the technical specifics involved with tailoring and customization of the system as needed to satisfy the business requirements. The person will be responsible for working with the product teams in the delivery and build of the application and its related functions.
The person will attend and facilitate all status meetings, participate in workflow definition discussions, and interface with the user community and in turn document and communicate business requirements and designs to the appropriate product teams.
