SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST (MUST HAVE GENEVA EXPERIENCE)
Description:
A leading Edinburgh based investment services provider is currently recruiting for an experienced Geneva Senior Business Analyst on a permanent basis.
The role holder will work on both BAU and Strategic aligned projects involving Product development, changes, on-boardings and enhancements through to implementation.
Travel in Europe will be required circa 3/4 times a year.
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the business analysis aspect of projects and changes from initiation through to delivery.
- Assist Project Manager with the development of project documentation, gathering and compiling of data and statistics.
- Prepare comprehensive reports presenting recommendations for various project initiatives such as operating procedures or work flow improvement, organizational changes, introduction of controls and procedures, evaluation of equipment and automation requirements, etc.
- Clear communication of requirements by the creation of Business Requirement Definition (BRD) documents.
- Actively participate in the feasibility, planning, analysis, design, test and deployment stage of each project, including creation of relevant documentation applicable to project phase.
- Assist and participate in the deployment of defined business solutions.
- Own delivery of discrete pieces of work with a project stream
- Contribute to the building and on-going maintenance of a joined up team concept stretching across department boundaries locations.
- Ensure issues are raised and mitigated wherever possible so that deadlines can be met
- Examine techniques, systems and processes in use and determine appropriate changes to effect improvements, reduce costs and enhance efficiency to meet business needs.
- Actively participate in all aspects of testing from integration through UAT
- Review of vendor Release Notes and preparation of user training guides.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly and concisely present requirements in a manner appropriate to the audience.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Highly organised, able to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines
Core Requirements:
- Experienced knowledge of Geneva a must
- Knowledge of Hedge Fund Administration Accounting Principles/Requirements
- Business Analyst experience that demonstrates ability to produce documentation covering requirements
- Process improvements/changes procedures,
- Management / executive project summaries / reporting.
- Test deployment stages procedures updates
- Project and milestone plans for discrete pieces of work
- Personable and good at relationship building
- Experience working with operations teams and IT development teams
- Knowledge of basis Project Management principles a plus
- Business Analyst certifications a plus
