Our client is currently entering a new era in their already long and successful existence. Seen as a cornerstone in Australia’s Financial Markets, the organisation is embarking on an exciting strategic growth initiative to increase their service offerings to the Financial Institutions markets, both domestically and internationally. The goal is ultimately to stamp their dominance in the market and continue to position themselves competitively with their international peers.
Leading the firms Execution, Data Centre Quant technologies division, we are looking for an industry professional to lead the revenue growth strategies and initiatives within the Australian market. Specific key goals and tasks will include:
- Reviewing and enhancing the current physical technology and data centers (Execution and trading services) offering both operationally and at client level
- Research Development into new Execution, Data Centre Quant Technologies/ products that suit the Australian market
- Develop and implement customer growth plans across current clients and identify new growth opportunities.
- Managing the overall business development of the service and ensuring exceptional levels of customer service and relationship management.
- Responsible for keeping an eye on the ‘big picture’ - ie identifying industry trends, effects of regulatory change, future business opportunities
This is a key position and will be highly visible throughout the company. The person in this role is expected to be able to exhibit a high level of industry knowledge and commercial acumen, be passionate about making a tangible difference and be able to use their influencing skills to work with key stakeholders in presenting business cases and strategies.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 10 years Financial Markets experience in a business development, technical or product development capacity - ideally from a Broking, Consulting, Exchange or Advisory background
- Extensive knowledge of OTC Cash, Debt and Exchange traded products
- Proven business development and commercial abilities.
- A thorough understanding of the Algo, High Frequency and Electronic trading industries and the technology/infrastructure employed
- First class client and senior key stakeholder influencing and relationship management abilities.
