We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Senior Manager, Business Risk, PCM Australia.
A senior leadership position, this role reports to the Head of PCM Australia and has ultimate accountability for establishing and managing the Business Risk function within PCM Australia, ensuring alignment to Group standard and Australia regulatory requirements.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Establishment of an effective framework for the deployment of an integrated approach to risk and control within PCM Australia
- Act as the First line of defence and ensure ongoing management of an integrated risk and control framework across the PCM business
- Overall accountability for the coordination and execution of all ongoing, monthly and annual tasks related to the PCM business risk and control management process
- Minimise operational risk and losses across the PCM business through control monitoring plans, timely identification of potential risks and escalation of significant risk issues as required
- Execution of the Risk Assessment Process: Risk Control Assessments (RCA), risk appetite statements, implementation and management of internal control testing plans
- Ensure a strong risk management culture across the business by providing guidance and consultative support to PCM teams on adherence to internal and external directives, whilst representing PCM on Regional and Group BRCM and Operational Risk committees
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with Operational Risk, Compliance, Audit, and other in country and Regional / Group control functions
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum of 5 years experience within Cash Management and Transaction Banking
- Strong knowledge of operational risk within a front line environment, with Risk Management experience highly beneficial
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment within the banking sector
- Sound knowledge of the Group and PCM business including products, processes and systems
- Previous experience in implementation business framework structures highly beneficial
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships across international borders
