My client is a niche proprietary trading firm situated in Zug Switzerland. The firm is primarily a securities dealer specializing in high frequency trading, and trades worldwide and around the clock in the more liquid futures and stock markets, where it has established a significant volume in leading products. It has been highly successful due in no small part to its elite and technically astute development team, particularly those that operate within the HFT space. As a result of the firms success in recent years they are looking to expand this elite development team, and to bring on board a senior development lead. The ideal candidate will have exceptional core C++ skills, experience with object orientated design and templates knowledge. This should be allied with Linux knowledge, as well as knowledge of TCP-UDP and a scripting language (e.g. bash, perl, python). The firm is open to seeing strong candidates from across Europe and can fly in exceptional candidates.
The candidate will be working on high-performance C++ design and development on Linux platform, design and architecture of new components and modules, new development (new services, modules, functionality) and re-development (performance and quality improvements). The firm is open to seeing candidates that are a little more junior, provided they can prove that they have the technical ability and dedication to shine at a higher level

Key responsibilities for Senior C++ Developer-Trading Systems Exchange Connectivity-High Frequency Proprietary Trading Firm-Zug-Switzerland;

• High-performance C++ design and development on Linux platform.
• Active role in design and architecture of new components and modules.
• Implementing exchange connectivity to key markets (CME, EUREX etc)
• New development (new services, modules, functionality)
• Re-development (performance and quality improvements)

Ideal skill set for Senior C++ Developer-Trading Systems Exchange Connectivity-High Frequency Proprietary Trading Firm-Zug-Switzerland;

• C++, OO, templates [min. 3 years in the last 5 years]
• Linux experience, confident with scripting language(s) (e.g. bash, perl, python, etc)
• Familiarity working on distributed high-availability high-performance systems.
• Experience with architecture of pragmatic and mature software solutions.
• Experience in development of trading systems extremely beneficial.
• Knowledge of TCP-UDP communication protocols.
• Knowledge of boost library and SQL beneficial.
• University degree, with fluent spoken written English.
