Senior Catastrophe Analyst – London City recruitment
An excellent role has arisen for a highly technical Senior Catastrophe Analyst to join a successful World Class Reinsurer. The company has Global entities and are seeking the best Catastrophe Analyst to come on board, take the next step in their career and to add to their technical capabilities.
Role:
• Model DF accounts for the London branch and Lloyd’s syndicate.
• Assess data quality, interpret modeling results and provide guidance to Underwriters as required
• Monitor and report on accumulations; assist in corporate and syndicate reporting.
• Assist in projects to improve the catastrophe modeling workflow, automate processes and increase operational efficiencies.
• Conduct model evaluations and sensitivity testing for specific regions / perils.
• Help manage the vendor relationship for outsourced data cleansing services
Skills / Experience Required:
• Strong technical training in mathematics, computer science, engineering, physical science or related field.
• Three to five years’ catastrophe modeling experience, with a focus on DF modeling preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of RMS RiskLink, AIR CLASIC/2 and CATRADER essential.
• Proficient in the use of MS Excel; experience with MS Access, SQL or other programming languages preferred.
• Detail-oriented with advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
