Senior Classic ASP Developer
A highly experienced and hands-on Senior Classic ASP Developer is required by our client to work on both new and existing Classic ASP development projects.
As a Senior Classic ASP Developer you will be joining our client, a world leader in delivering on-demand SaaS solutions, primarily within the hospitality industry. Their focus is based upon developing and updating new cutting edge functionality to evolve a robust and easy to use back-end solution. Through a continued period of growth this Tech Track 100 Company requires a Senior Classic ASP Developer to join their live support team.
Core responsibilities as a Senior Classic ASP Developer:
- Remaining hands-on in development of the core Classic ASP and VB6 software
- Managing the full software development lifecycle from documentation to implementation
- Participating in both new developments and customisations and updates
- Being proactive in identifying and solving issues
Essential Skills:
- A strong development background working with Microsoft technologies
- Around 7 years’ experience as a Classic ASP Developer
- Excellent experience with MS SQL Server (MS SQL 2000 and greater)
- Previous experience in managing a small team of developers
- Skilled in creating and modifying complex SQL stored procedures
- Strong experience with HTML, Javascript and CSS style sheets
Desirable skills and experience:
- Web Services, WCF Services, C# or VB.Net
- Good knowledge of Web Coding Standards
- Good experience of using HTML, JavaScript, XML and CSS style sheets
- Good analytical skills, a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer and SQL Profiler.
- Must be able to create, modify and optimise existing or new complex SQL Stored procedures, User-defined-functions, triggers and views
Additionally if you can demonstrate experience of web development in the Hospitality industry it would be highly beneficial.
