Senior Cloud Analytics Engineer
Introduction: The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Cloud Analytics Engineer.
Job Summary: Devise, invent, and investigate novel concepts and approaches for exploiting RF signals in support of TTL and low-visibility communication missions.
Duties: Carry out research, investigation and implementation of novel RF signals exploitation concepts including critical experimentation, mathematical simulations, and theoretical analyses. Lead the development of prototype RF TTL and low-visibility communication systems. Document and present work to the technical and sponsor communities. Stay abreast of applicable RF signals exploitation techniques, methods and technologies through literature searches, and participation in conferences and community technical working groups. Serve as an outreach consultant to the Research and Exploratory Development Department for novel concept development and implementation.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in the development and implementation of RF signals exploitation systems for TTL and low-visibility communications missions. Experience in modeling RF systems and a fundamental understanding of RF communication technologies. Ability to effectively lead teams. Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as a part of multi-organizational teams.
Desired Qualifications: Proven history of successful concept development in the area of TTL and low-visibility communications. Understanding of and experience with the intelligence and special operations communities. Working knowledge of a wide breadth of electrical engineering topics appropriate for evaluating the feasibility of implementation of potential concepts.
Special Working Conditions: Some travel, occasionally outside U.S. Must be eligible for DOD clearance requiring background investigation and/or polygraph. Preference for current SSBI.
Security: Applicant selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.
