- Contribute to the formulation of Corporate Strategy by developing medium to long-term operational (including capital expenditure) forecasts.
- Preparation of Board Reporting forecasting for the operational aspects of the business, including management of operations risks opportunities.
- Develop ‘objectives-based’ system process enhancements to enable more effective day-to-day management of business profitability.
- Fostering strong relationships with business units by establishing a customer service culture within the Commercial Finance Team.
- Play a lead role in coaching the finance operational teams (including management) to become more financially competent in their approach to business decisions.
- Lead and motivate a high quality team by developing and implementing performance objectives, coaching /mentoring team and ensuring that individual performance development plans are achieved.
- Evaluate prepare business proposals / models for strategic business growth, supported by analysis of business environment, market research data, local regulations, commercial terms financial returns.
- Supervise manage commercial projects (including Central Procurement) and business process re-engineering initiatives, for improving operational efficiencies controlling overheads and working capital
- Develop, analyze and interpret accounting information in terms of profitability, performance against budgets and other matters having a bearing on fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the Business Units, to enable the Company’s executive team to take informed business decisions
- Participation as a key member of the Finance management team, assisting in strategic initiatives and identification and analysis of performance enhancement opportunities.
• Analysis and interpretation of trends requiring management's attention, the preparation and presentation of clear and informative financial and management reports to senior management. Interrogate MIS information for On trade, Retail and Duty free Channels and Prepare and Analyse Monthly business reports at Channel, Category, Customer group and KAM levels.
- Understand and comment on volume performance, revenue realized, profitability, FOC cost analysis forecasting.
- Manage beer category performance, analysis and value chain for Sirocco business.
- Carry out what if analysis on pricing decisions, its impact on volumes and profitability.
- Compile, consolidate, and summarize budgetary data for preparation of budget estimates for ALL business channels of MMI and ELR.
- Provide pro-active sound commercial advice, including analytical reviews interpretation of business performance / progress on new projects, reviewing legal agreements in line with MMI’s and ELR’s strategic objectives to Business Unit managers the Chief Financial Officer, to improve effective utilization of resources.
- Oversee the preparation of the CEO’s monthly / quarterly reports and supervise preparation of monthly KPI’s
- Develop effective working relationships with principals, bankers, auditors, regulatory agencies to enhance MMI’s and ELR’s operating procedures and the ability to execute plans and processes.
Direct, manage and oversee projects and assignments initiated (or recommended by Board/ Senior Management that address concerns on costs, efficiency or profitability of the business units.
