SENIOR COMPLIANCE OFFICER recruitment
DESCRIPTION:
- Maintain and periodically update compliance policies procedures in line with evolving regulatory obligations and establish internal procedures to reflect the relevant requirements under DFSA AMI AML modules.
- Review of Membership Application forms and documentation for Members, Corporate Investors and Custodians
- Review Business Rules and propose revisions as appropriate.
- Periodic review of the Member Compliance manual and procedures to ensure that they continue to remain relevant
- Conduct the Annual Assessment program for NASDAQ Dubai Members through the annual submission of Internal Control AML Questionnaires by all Members
- Conduct Member inspections and on site visits
- Review and assess compliance of NASDAQ Dubai Members with the Business Rules in relation to AML and the AML Notice
- Coordinate with DFSA on AMI related submissions, notifications and inquiries as per DFSA AMI licensing and regulatory requirements
- To develop and assist management in Anti-money laundering policies and procedures and ensure adherence to the MLRO duties and responsibilities as stipulated in the DFSA AML Rules
- In conjunction with the Human Capital Department, ensure appropriate training and education of staff in all compliance related matters
- Liaise with DFSA, DIFC, SCA, UAE enforcement authorities and other third party enquiries in relation to money laundering prevention and compliance.
- Review of internal suspicious reporting of all compliance related matters i.e. AML, Conflict of Interest, Insider trading, Code of conduct breaches, etc.
- Process all Enhanced Due Diligence and background checks on all Membership and Listings related escalation with regards to Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)/negative information and further reporting to ARMC if required
- Manage the annual submission of DAT 1 Data Protection renewal and process permits on transfer of personal data/sensitive data to other jurisdiction
- Internal co-ordinator for NASDAQ Dubai internal Audit

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:
Essential
- At least 5 years experience of operating at a Senior Compliance Officer/Manager level
- Relevant background in compliance, preferably with a broker-dealer.
- Tertiary degree qualification. Finance or law degree preferred but not required.
- Experience with regulatory bodies, especially DFSA.
- Must be in the UAE and available to start work immediately.
