Senior Consultant (Associate Director)
With 30+ consultants globally, we specialise in financial modelling consulting, training and model audits giving our clients the support to make better decisions more confidently in challenging environments. The London office works in a range of financial realms such as investments, corporate finance, project finance, private equity, risk, strategy, operations and commercial decisions. We specialise in several industry sectors - renewables, power, infrastructure, natural resources and financial services. Our clients span from ambitious unlisted project developers to the world’s largest companies and most sophisticated banks and investment institutions.
We are looking for a senior consultant (Associate Director) in our London team with the ability to drive their own business development, manage and expand existing accounts, coach team members and to leverage their skills in financial modelling to consult to our clients across our three main service streams of modelling training and auditing. Excellent communication skills and the ability and desire to travel are required because much of this role is focused on supporting clients outside of London.
Your responsibilities
We expect you to have a strong technical background in financial modelling, preferably project finance, model audits and desirable experience in corporate finance, private equity, valuations, MA or management consulting – this experience is highly regarded however not critical – we welcome a wide range of backgrounds, in fact it’s one of our secrets of success! You must be comfortable and experienced managing your sales budget and balancing the demands of sales, travel, client work and training. As an Associate Director we expect you to have a strong track record running your own team and the ability to manage, recruit and manage the performance of team members is critical.
Your skills
- To be successful in this role you will have:
- 8 years professional experience in an analytical role (involving financial modelling)
- A leading consulting, banking or other finance background
- Demonstrable relationship management and sales skills to C-level executives
- Deep industry knowledge in one of our core sectors
- Experience with training and presenting to large groups and/or conferences
- Strong financial modelling skills and model audit experience
- Led projects demonstrating project and time management skills
- Strong problem solving and understanding of complex projects and businesses
- Exceptionally good report writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly
- The confidence to present at conferences and to network at industry events
- Exceptional university qualifications
- A desire to work on and understand often complex financial transactions including debt focussed project finance, PPP, valuations, MA, valuations and also broader corporate decision making and risk assessment
