Senior Consultant / Manager – Fraud Forensics (Data Analytics) – Sydney

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our team. The key focus of this role will include conducting computer forensics investigations, handling large, technical legal and regulatory matters and solving complex data related issues. We serve clients both locally and internationally and our teams experience has been built on a combination of specialised training courses, on-the-job training and a strong global network.

Responsibilities will include:

- Working as part of a team to assist clients handle legal, regulatory and employee related issues

- Analyse financial and business related data using database platforms like Oracle and Microsoft SQL

- Conduct forensic analysis of computers in relation to fraud, intellectual property theft and other employee related issues using specialised software

- Work closely with our information security team to provide incident response services - including the root cause analysis of malicious threats such as trojans and viruses

- Assist in the management of the Forensic Technology Data Analytics practice - including the management of servers, data backups, development of standard operating procedures and forensic equipment

The successful applicants will be agile, have a strong technical understanding of computers – preferably with skills in programming and/or databases. This role is part of a specialised technical team and will be primarily involved in applying technical IT knowledge to a variety of forensics technology and data analytics projects.

Education Skills required:

- Tertiary qualifications in IT or Computer Science

- Proven experience with computer hardware - including the ability to disassemble and reassemble a computer

- Strong experience using databases and/or financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, etc.)

- Effective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate with impact to both internal and external clients and staff

- Ability to be agile in changing circumstances both internally and externally when dealing with client issues

- A team player with strong time and project management skills

- Understanding of core finance and accounting concepts preferred but not required
