You'll work as part of a team of industry specialists providing consulting services to all the major UK retail banks, so you'll quickly build upon your existing industry knowledge to become an expert in your field.

Assignments will be focused across the full spectrum of the retail banking industry and will include:
- Operating model design and delivery
- Process Transformation
- Cost Reduction
- Risk and Regulation
Your main role will be to:
- Work within or manage small projects or programme work streams
- Understand and anticipate client requirements and develop client relationships
- Develop work plans for engagements and produce exceptional deliverables for clients
- Actively monitor key risks and manage issues
- Contribute to the development and growth of the retail banking practice
- Participate fully within the team and actively contribute to team development
To qualify you must have:
- Relevant experience within a major retail bank, building society or consulting firm involved in retail banking.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the UK retail banking industry and market.
- Excellent project and programme management disciplines including production of detailed project plans, key quality programme deliverables and working and delivering to strict time constraints
- Exceptional communicator, able to liaise with stakeholders and team members
- Demonstrable potential to manage functional teams
- Excellent people skills with a strong focus on team working within a high performing functional team
- Enthusiasm and passion for the delivery of market leading solutions that make a difference
- All applicants are required to understand risk, how to mitigate risk and protect the firm's reputation
- Knowledge of methodologies including Lean, Six Sigma, BPR techniques, operating model analysis and design and implementation methodologies beneficial
- Ability to travel as short notice nationally and at times internationally
A Senior Consultant's primary focus will be on the delivery of client work that will successfully fulfil and exceed client expectations and deliver engagement and programme objectives. You will own clear deliverables and lead small work streams. You will start to develop strong long-term client relationships and aim to be recognised as a trusted business advisor in the retail banking sector.
As a Senior Consultant, you will actively participate and contribute to the development of the retail banking practice team and is able to identify appropriate opportunities for growth.
