The Opportunity
Use your contract development creativity, negotiation skills, and business expertise to manage contracts in our growing international market for geographic information systems (GIS) services. Make a difference within a professional team focused on best practices and sound contract management decisions. In this role you will also provide support to our global affiliates and work with our international distributor network.

The Team:
The Esri Professional Services and Consulting Division supports innovative database and applications development, SOA, and enterprise software solutions. The team manages a variety of project work in a number of growing markets such as natural resources, commercial, government, utilities, and defense. Most positions are based at our headquarters in Redlands, California and our regional office in Washington, D.C.; however, opportunities are also available in other locations.

Responsibilities
Develop, negotiate, and maintain contracts with Professional Services Division clients, supporting a wide range of software and database development programs.
Maintain a collaborative business relationship with clients in support of Professional Services contracts objectives and projects.
Support proposal review, risk assessment/management, terms and conditions formation/negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Review technical scopes of work and identify areas of risk.
Analyze and resolve corporate business risk areas and problem mitigation issues.
Negotiate contractual terms, conditions, licensing, and pricing.
Provide support to and work within a team of technical and administrative professionals, providing guidance on contracts obligations as related to business issues and decisions.
Contribute as a seasoned advisor on contractually-related business and policy decisions within international markets.

Requirements
Bachelors or advanced degree in business, law, or related field.
Minimum of ten years of contract administration or software licensing experience; five years focused on international contracting.
Ability to draft, negotiate, and maintain contracts with clients.
Proven negotiation skills and experience with client communications.
Strong business acumen and an understanding of business accountability and good business decision-making.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to make presentations to a wide variety of audiences.
Ability to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and a variety of Esri project managers.

Recommended Qualifications
Detailed understanding of contractual business risk areas, alternative approach methodology, and risk mitigation strategies as applied to international business.
Seasoned experience drafting terms and conditions language necessary to address business risk and legal liability.
Ability to negotiate with large business entities and other large organizations in the international market.
Demonstrated experience with software licensing terms and software product development activities.
Experience writing and negotiating intellectual property protection language.
Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and ITAR export control regulations.
Seasoned contract development and administration experience within the international business environment.
