Tell Me About The Purpose Of This Role?
We are only seeking the most highly motivated individuals for the role of Senior Credit Analyst, with a specific focus on Eurozone Industrials. The analyst will be part of the credit team managing a long short credit strategy and a long only fund, both with an excellent long term track record. The investment universe ranges from high yield to investment grade with a specific focus on industrials.
 The analyst’s primary responsibility will be the fundamental analysis of the credit quality of issuers within the relevant investable universe, and anticipating changes in the credit quality of the individual constituents in this universe.

The credit analyst will be responsible for identifying trade ideas and the investment strategy in the sector that he/she covers in conjunction with the portfolio managers. A strong understanding of relative value and market pricing is required.
 
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate must have excllent experience in the credit analysis of corporate issuers and be able to demonstrate a proven skill/track record.
The candidate is currently employed by a financial institution, hedge fund or investment management company.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently and is capable of representing the company and the credit team externally.
He/she is a career analyst who enjoys working in a small team focused on performance. The credit analyst will therefore need to have experience in cash and CDS markets and a strong understanding of relativevalue.
The ability to think laterally as an investor is a must. The ideal candidate is educated to university degree level and has more than 5 years experience in analyzing corporates.

You Will Need
Excellent analytic skills: 
A high-level of proficiency in (credit) analysis and accounting, with an emphasis on financialstatement analysis;An ability to analyze and assess corporate and financial structures, covenants and other issue conditions.Strong communication skills: ability to communicate concisely orally and in writing with colleagues; possesses the confidence to back up recommendations in times of changing market conditions, participate in seminars and conferences.Good business judgement: analysis of relative value opportunities in cash and CDS requires an ability to focus on material events combined with consistent arguments and objectivity when providing credit opinions.Self starter/entrepreneurial: active contribution to the continuous enhancement of our credit capability; actively influencing events rather than passively accepting; take action beyond what is necessarily called forLearning agility: able to assimilate and apply new information; generate innovative recommendations in support of investment objectives.
