Senior Credit Risk Counterparty Analyst recruitment
A requirement has arisen for a Senior Credit Risk Counterparty Analyst to join the European based trading arm of a multi-billion pound Oil Gas business. Second to none in reputation they work across a broad commodity portfolio including coal, emissions and power. The primary responsibility of this position over time is to assist with the management and development of a multi-cultural team of credit professionals responsible for all aspects of credit risk control and management.
While a strong numerical background is important they are looking for analysts who have or who are keen to support the development of a world class risk control function.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluation of counterparty financial and other information to set counterparty credit limits in accordance with Company policy
- Proactively liaise with counterparties to support commercial initiatives
- Provide leadership in drafting and negotiation of credit aspects within trading contracts working closely with Legal including the implementation of cross commodity master netting agreements, credit support documentation and other credit risk mitigation techniques (ISDA, EFET etc)
- Identify, measure, monitor, mitigate and report credit risk
- Assisting with the raising of external financing and the development of necessary relationships
- Proactively work with traders on credit issues
- Develop and operate processes, procedures and controls in support of financial regulation and other corporate requirements
- Contribute to ad hoc project work
- Oversee junior Credit Analysts
The successful candidate will have proven experience in trading risk management and working in a fast paced environment. English is the main working language in the office however additional fluency will be advantageous. A competitive salary is available and will be discussed on application.
