Salary – 50k-70k base + bonus benefits
Description
A leading UK based commercial bank is looking to add a senior member into the Collection Recoveries function in their head office in London. The role will be reporting in the head of the function and will have direct management of 7 junior members within the group and so this offers excellent career progression and managerial responsibility.
The roles responsibilities will include:
- Driving the strategic direction of the Collection Recoveries function.
- Leading the effective design of all new strategies, while meeting industry best practice
- Develop an effective management strategy to reduce the numbers of customers defaulting at the lowest possible cost to the bank through optimisation contact techniques and customer treatments.
- Lead a team of managers to deliver a clear and robust technical strategy development process that uses the power of our data and the intelligence of our models to maximum effect
- Manage the relationship with credit operations to ensure effective performance management, improvement and control.
- Train and mentor junior members within the group.
- Prepare concise reports to deliver to senior management.
Key Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (will have to liaise with senior management)
- Strong educational background
- A thorough understanding of SAS (inc Sql.), statistical modelling techniques, data organisation and industry best practice in relation to data extraction and manipulation.
- Understanding of analytical credit risk methods
- Direct experience having worked in a Collections and Recoveries function
- Background in Commercial / Retail banking
