Macquarie's business is structured into six operating groups and five support groups. Market Operations and Technology (MOT) provides technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses.
The Technology Division is responsible for the management of Macquarie's technology infrastructure, the support and development of existing business systems and the delivery and deployment of new systems, technologies and services. It comprises business aligned teams which provide dedicated and specialist services to businesses as well as central teams which provide shared services, such as infrastructure, to multiple businesses.
Job Role and Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the role are to support and maintain the Data Network infrastructure.
- Design, Implementation and Testing of LAN, WAN and Data Centre Network Infrastructure
- Network Troubleshooting
- Initiate, Implement and Support Problem/Change Requests
- Mentor junior members of the team.
- Actively participate in planning and allocating tasks.
- Interface with Stakeholders and with escalation teams
- Suggesting Design Improvements
- Manage and Support escalations
- Providing technical consultancy to business units and other IT teams
- Providing technical inputs for Service Improvements
- Prepare Requirement Specs, Design and Test Plan Documents
- Giving inputs to Managers and Leads for Project Planning and sending status updates to Leads/Managers
Mandatory Experience Required
- Experience of 7-10 years, a minimum of 3 years in Design and Implementation
- Strong Cisco networking background.
- Design and implementation experience around following devices:
- Switches - Cisco Cat6K, 4900, 3750s, Nexus 5K
- Routers - Cisco ISRs 2800/2900/3800/3900 series, ASRs
- Firewalls - Cisco ASA and PIX, Nokia Checkpoint
- WAN Accelerators - Riverbed Steelhead 1050 to 5050
- Aruba Wireless devices
- Voice - Cisco Callmanager, IPC, IPTEL
- VPN implementation and troubleshooting
- Advanced routing and switching technologies
Skilled in:
- WAN optimization technologies such as Riverbed
- Load balancing appliances and methodologies
- IDS/IPS implementations
- Voice and IPTEL technologies including IPC Dealing systems
- Ability to consider Compatibility, Scalability, Performance and Integration issues in the design.
- Capacity review and planning
- Network troubleshooting including use of Wireshark, packet analysis tools, netflow etc.
- Experience in using Remedy and Network Management tools effectively.
- A strong team player with an experience working in multi-cultural environment. Sensitive to different roles and responsibilities.
- Ability to work in a global, collaborative environment with teams spread out in different geographies
- Align with Organization's strategic and cultural objectives.
- Ready to stretch oneself beyond working hours and willing to travel
Desirable Experience Required:
Knowledge in the following areas:
- IP Telphony
- Proxy technology
- Advanced Routing/Switching/VPN/network security
- Enterprise wireless implementations
- IPC dealing systems a plus
- Voice Recording
- Knowledge of Advanced Network technologies as well as technologies of the future.
- Cisco CCIE RS, CCNP certified
