Senior Developer recruitment

The Senior Leader will work with the business to maintain existing technology products as well as assist in the architecture and implementation of future needs. The ultimate goal is to phase out an in-house consulting group which is now coding/supporting our products and take ownership of all technology development

Head of Institutional Application Development will also manage an offshore team of 2 employees. Possibly more in future.

Functional Highlights of the position are:

-Understand and ultimately replace consultant (3 month transition process).

-Take on and manage all home grown technology development

oHomegrown Order Management System, FIX engine, risk analytics reporting package

oOptions/Derivatives Focused with some US equities

oProgrammatic Client interface development

-Help re-define operational processes in response to new development efforts

-Work with Managing Director of Institutional to define strategy and technology priorities.

-Act as senior technologist to help define priorities and efforts for other technologist onsite.

Technology Skill requirements:

-Must be highly intelligent

-Multi-threaded server side Java design and development

-SQL scripting and basic DB design (MySQL)

-Basic understanding of C# UI development

-Basic understanding of option margin and risk scenarios

-Experience with ETL and data transformation technologies (Pentaho)

-Experience dealing with clearing firms

-Development of market data handling processes

-5 years Financial services experience

-5 years server side development experience

-2 years Options/Derivatives experience
