Senior Director – Global Asset Manager, Institutional Sales

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the book of business through acquiring additional mandates with prospects and existing clients
• Pitch the AM’s capabilities including both traditional (equity, fixed income asset allocation) and alternative portfolios (hedge funds, real estate infrastructure)
• Contribute to the development of the Asian ex Japan ex China institutional business’s strategy
• Manage and deepen relationships with relevant consultants present in HK and support consultant coverage for the Asian region (ex Japan, ex China, ex Australia)

As a senior BD person you have:

• Outstanding long term relationships with institutional clients around the region
• Significant success in selling – and a deep understanding of – traditional and alternative investment capabilities.
• Strong familiarity with Asian markets, ex Japan, ex China
• Fundamental understanding of the institutional client behaviour and needs, including consultants
• First-hand, practical experience in the logistical elements, legal compliance aspects and operational set-up of segregated mandates as well as their reporting needs

Requirements:

• A secondary qualification such as CFA would be an advantage
• Minimum of 10 years international experience in the financial industry
• Investment and/or transaction experience and applied know-how across investment capabilities
