Senior Director Healthcare Coverage
The successful candidate will currently be a Director/Senior Director covering the Healthcare sector, possibly with an emphasis on Pharmaceuticals, Medical Technology and Services.
This is a fairly new sector for the Bank so candidates should come with an extensive roladex of clients and be able to demonstrate a track record of completed deals and a strong sense of how they would develop business in the sector.
Reporting into the MD of the Group the Senior Director will be Head of the Healthcare Group and be responsible for the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia as well as supporting other European colleagues in the sector.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- To demonstrate a deep understanding of the key clients and sub-sectors within the relevant Industry group and use this understanding to identify and pursue business opportunities from existing and prospective clients.
- Responsible for defining sector coverage strategy and global relationship management for existing clients and prospect names
- Guide junior staff in the preparation of high quality pitch books demonstrating corporate finance analysis and integrated solutions from the bank’s range of products and capabilities.
- Demonstrate industry expertise gained through a successful track record of working in a healthcare industry team in an investment banking group
- Leverage industry expertise to expand client dialogue beyond financing and corporate banking to include strategic with a view to strengthening client relationships and positioning the bank for acquisition financing, DCM and other business opportunities.
- Demonstrated track record of developing successful relationships with key client decision makers including Group Treasurer, Corporate Development Director and CFO.
- In addition to core products, pursue selective MA advisory opportunities to utilise the bank’s strengths
- Coordinate the execution of transactions with the relevant internal product groups and business functions
