Senior Dry Freight + Bulk Commodities Trader
Trader / Senior Analyst - Dry Bulk Ocean Freight, Iron Ore, Coal, Steel, Physical, Financial Markets, Energy, Metals, Bulk Commodities, Asia, Location: Singapore.
We are currently working with a leading commodities trading company, based in Singapore who are looking for an experienced Trader/Top Level Analyst candidate to manage their Bulk / freight trading book. This offers the opportunity to work in an established commodities trading firm to add development to your career.
Responsibilities
• Physical / Derivatives Dry Bulk Ocean Freight Trading Experience – Asia Pacific Region, Global trade flows
• Manage a large profitable trading book
• Have competency and strong experience in the following commodities; dry bulk, ocean freight, iron ore, steel, coal.
• Perform duties in trading / analytical function, while working closely with logistics and finance
• Fundamental analysis exposure to risk management
• Profitable pnl track record
• Monitoring of trades and trade details in both physical and futures positions
• Accurate and timely generation and administration of purchase and sales contracts
• Provide effective support to the trading team on miscellaneous matters as required
• Detailed in depth market analysis - gathering market news and information
• Have an understanding of the use of futures as a risk management mechanism for commodities trading
Requirements
• Minimum 5-8+ years dry bulk, ocean freight, Iron ore, steel or coal trading experience as trader or senior analyst / trader in a global commodity trading company.
• Experience in logistics / operations.
• Successful candidates will possess an entrepreneurial outlook.
• A strong degree level education is required.
• High level of literacy and clarity when communicating trading ideas/complex concepts.
• Good quantitative and communication skills.
• Strong track record
• Strong attention to detail, organised, analytical mind, independent thinker.
