Senior Electronics Test Development Engineer Job in Farnham GU98NB, Home Counties UK
Senior Electronics Engineer required by company developing advanced motor control systems for automotive hybrid vehicle applications. The role will involve the development of test strategies, equipment and test programs for a range of analogue, digital and power electronics, involving both hardware and test software design. As this is for the automotive sector the product is tested for extremely high reliability. In addition you will be supervising a small team of engineers. Duties will include:
* Development of test requirements from the development team's specifications.
* Design of functional test systems - including computers, bought-in in-house designed peripherals and test system software development.
* Development and debugging of functional test systems to maximise test coverage and minimise test time.
You will be an electronics development engineer with a number of years experience in the development of functional test systems, which will include programming in a software test languages such as Lab view. In addition a knowledge of good practice PCB design for high speed digital and analogue electronics is useful. Ideally you will also have experience of working on high reliability/safety critical products operating in extreme environmental conditions such as within aerospace/defence, automotive, oil/gas industries.
