We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer in our Nuclear Services Group.
Westinghouse Nuclear Services provides the technology solutions and services that keep operating nuclear plants operating… safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.
In this position, a Senior Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:
* Resolve technical issues related to manufacturing processes such as electroplating, diffusion coating, ceramic manufacturing, and metal fabrication processes
* Interface with National Laboratories to transfer manufacturing technologies to WesDyne
* Work with a design organization, manufacturing organizations, and laboratories to integrate technologies
* Assist in the evaluation of current and potential suppliers
* Review product specifications, manufacturing procedures and process qualification reports
* Coordinate chemical, metallographic, and mechanical testing
* Communicate technical decisions to customer and other organizations through concise written justifications
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
* Bachelor's Degree Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical, or Material Science) Required.
* Minimum three years 3 years of relevant experience required. Four plus year experience preferred.
* 3-5 years of experience in dealing effectively with suppliers desired
* 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing of ceramics and coatings is desired
* Up to 20% domestic and/or international travel will be required
* Candidate must be a US citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain "L" security clearance through the US Department of Energy
