Kleinfelder is seeking a technical leader in the field of remediation engineering.
The engineer will have experience developing environmental remediation strategies, interfacing with client representatives, and leading technical teams to drive sites to closure. The engineer will have remediation experience with a focus on design, installation, and operation/maintenance of in-situ and ex-situ remediation systems and related equipment.
The candidate can sit in any of our offices in NY, PA, NJ or MD.
Responsibilities include:
- planning field activities,
- authoring and peer reviewing technical reports,
- leading a team of engineers and technicians,
- developing project schedules, and
- proactively progressing projects toward regulatory closure.
Qualified candidates should possess:
- 10+ years of environmental consulting experience on remediation projects including:
- Pilot testing
- System design
- System installation
- Operation/maintenance
- System optimization
- Achieving no further action approvals
- Professional Engineer
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work with and lead technical teams
- High standards for quality, loss prevention and attention to detail
- Proposal writing and cost estimating experience
- Personnel training and mentoring experience
This is a senior-level position which requires working within the context of local, state, federal regulations and client requirements, and involves interfacing with clients, project stakeholders and project teams to implement successful remediation strategies. Applicants should be prepared to provide client references as well as employer references.
Skills desired:
- Experience in design/build of in-situ and ex-situ remediation technologies.
- Creation of bid specifications,
- Permitting,
- Construction management,
- System trouble-shooting and
- Ooperation and maintenance supervision of systems.
PE license required.
Minimum degree: B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
