Senior Equity Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Conduct primary research on the industry and specific companies through customer due diligence, earnings calls, company visits, industry conferences, and sell-side events.
• Maintain coverage of approximately 30 Telecom stocks and rank using a rating system from buy to sell. This analyst will be measured by the efficacy of his or her rankings within the telecom sector.
• Conduct detailed valuation analysis on sector companies to arrive at price targets on existing holdings, and pricing discrepancies on prospective holdings.
• Accurately assess market expectations by identifying consensus views on stocks and industry.
• Proactively work with fund managers across the complex to include best investment ideas in portfolios.
Qualifications:
• BA/BS
• 5+ years of experience as a dedicated Telecom sector Analyst for a major buy or sell side firm.
• Strong Analytical Skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial statements.
• Ability to create detailed earnings models and written reports to support stock rankings.
• Knowledge of various valuation methodologies.
• Strong financial modeling proficiency.
• Ability/willingness to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• CFA or MBA preferred.
