Senior Equity Analyst – Hedge Fund – London

A market leading investment fund based upon long term value in an economic market neutral strategy, is looking to take on a Senior Equity Analyst with large buy-side experience from a Hedge Fund to play a key role in their highly-skilled research team.

The Equity fund has currently accumulated $5.1 Billion in AUM since inception in 2007 and has seen steady growth each year, so it is an ideal time to be joining such a prestigious Equity Hedge Fund.
You will be sat on the Equity research desk covering equities from a long-short angle reporting directly to the Co-Founders and Partners - both highly established former Top-Tier Investment Bankers. There is currently a team of 14 front-office investors in the Hedge Fund and so they would like to bring in a value-generating fundamental bottom-up equity analyst to complete.

Key responsibilities you will undertake on a day-to-day basis

- Actively carrying out autonomous research on market and sector specific investments and stocks
- Taking on a fundamental, bottom-up approach to stock picking so you have thorough and in-depth knowledge of the investment sphere
- Gathering and presenting research to highly-regarded and successful Fund Managers through powerpoint and vocal presentations
- Researching and Modelling stock selections through key analysis and due diligence

- Buyside Experienced - the Hedge Fund will only look at experienced people from current analyst roles at Hedge Funds or Asset Manager?s
- Confident to add value to the desk both in research and performance.
- Stable record of employment showing a clear progression of responsibility.
- A decisive stock selector in order to be comfortable making decisions using qualitative and fundamental research.
- Capable of writing concise and logically argued research reports in a timely manner, sometimes to tight deadlines.
- Sharp and intelligent in research approach and stock-picking. A minimum 2:1 from University is essential.
- A team player, with sound interpersonal and communication skills.
