Senior Equity Research Analyst/Portfolio Manager
Currently a senior analyst on the buy or sell-side, you may be a generalist or a sector specialist who desires some freedom to also research other sectors in a more varied role contributing ideas to the management of a value-orientated portfolio. Alternatively, as an established equity portfolio manager with a strong value-orientated investment philosophy you wish to contribute your “bottom-up” stock picking skills in collaboration with an existing small team of analysts.
Key responsibilities:
- Research and documentation of ideas
- Internal presentation and potential external engagement with company management and other stakeholders
- Contribution to the idea generation process and portfolio management
Key requirements:
- More than five years of relevant equity analysis experience in an asset manager, hedge fund, family office or “sell-side” firm
- Documented track record of investment recommendations or portfolio performance (3 years minimum)
- Value-orientated investment philosophy
- Team-orientated, able to work independently and with own initiative
- Able to document and communicate ideas and recommendations with confidence and conviction and at ease in engaging with senior management of potential investments
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
Entry level position – Research Assistant
This role offers an introduction to the research-led investment process by supporting the team of analysts and will include some general office management responsibilities. Likely to suit a recent Handelsschule/Ecole de Commerce-leaver or bank-apprentice.
Key requirements:
- Genuine interest in investments, financial markets, business and the economy
- Proactive and organised nature and able to work independantly
- Language skills – German and English
- I.T. skills – proficiency in MS Office Excel, Word and Powerpoint
