Senior European Compliance Manager
Our client, a global investment management firm is looking for a Senior European Compliance Manager to provide regulatory advice and guidance to their front office and senior management. The individual would help in manage a team to develop and maintain regulatory standards to enhance and protect the reputation of the firm.
Duties Include:
- Develop, manage and maintain the relationships with local and overseas regulatory bodies.
- Provide compliance advice and training to the front office and senior management.
- Ensure that the business and the firm are kept abreast of new European regulatory updates and all risks are mitigated.
- Assist in defining the scopes of reviews in relation to the compliance monitoring programme across the European offices.
- Be point of contact in regards to all regulatory queries on investment related activities such as research, portfolio management and trading.
- Assist the Head of European Compliance in the strategic direction of the compliance function.
- Participate and manage investment compliance projects initiated by the regulatory bodies or the business.
- Liaise with middle and back offices to address compliance issues.
The successful candidate will ideally have an investment Management or Investment Banking background with a strong technical knowledge of fixed income, equities and derivatives as well as a solid understanding of European Union regulations. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as be able to interact at all levels of business effectively.
