Senior Expense Accountant
Our client, a well established and growing Financial Services company based in Southampton, is looking for a Senior Expense Accountant to manage the Expense Control Function. The job role will see you responsible for reporting, budgeting and forecasting of the operational expense base and require you to produce high quality analysis to enable improved decision making.
This job is essentially providing the link to all departments providing a clear and succinct analysis of cost drivers as well as the financial support to maintain the cost advantage gained from controlling the expense base.
As a result, you will be very visible within the business and therefore establishing strong working relationships via business partnering is essential. You will be tasked with the analysis and reporting of a number of cost centres identifying issues, making recommendations and providing challenge to business managers to achieve strategic objectives.
Furthermore you will also be tasked with review of processes and seeking operational improvements to maintain competitive advantage.
This job is a 12 month fixed term contract and would suit a qualified accountant with strong organisational and planning skills, good analytical mindset and a high degree of IT literacy. This really is a fantastic opportunity providing challenge and visibility in a very successful company.
