Senior Expense Accountant (12 month contract)
This new 12 month fixed term job opportunity is with a major international, blue chip business. As a Senior Expense Accountant, you will be a key finance business partner to the Change and Technology department. Your focus will be on the monthly and quarterly expense reporting, annual budgeting and periodic forecasting. This is an exciting time to join a business with ambitious development plans.
The Change and Technology department has a large cost base and budget, therefore this position is highly visible and will require you to support a number of key Directors. On a regular basis you will be responsible for providing highly transparent information to the IT Director and management team with a particular focus on Capex and Opex spend as well as cash forecasts. This will include analysis of performance against budgets, determining allocations to the business and supporting monthly/ quarterly performance reviews. In addition to this you will also get the opportunity to make recommendations on how the expense reporting and forecasting processes can be improved.
We are therefore looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), who has proven experience in a cost/ expense focused finance position within a large, complex organisation. The ideal profile will be someone who has held a Finance Business Partner/ Expense Accountant role supporting an IT, Technology or similar cost function. You will need to be a confident individual who is not phased by having to challenge Senior stakeholders in a business. My client needs someone who can be available to start in August.
