Senior Field Integration Specialist (Logistics) * Job in Dahlgren 22448, Virginia US

Provide logistics support to the Joint Maritime Operations and Sustainment Directorate of the Aegis BMD Program Office as an on-site Field Integration Specialist. This position is located at the Aegis BMD Program Office at Naval Support Facility, Dahlgren, VA.

Candidate will be responsible for working a variety of Aegis BMD technical and operational matters in general and Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) issues in particular. Routine duties will include Systems Management of Program Support Sustainment activities; which translate specified performance criteria and associated outcome metrics for Aegis BMD systems Operational Availability and Readiness into affordable, total system/total life cycle support performance capabilities.

Travel to support Program Office LCM and ILS meetings is required.

Responsibilities: Support Aegis BMD sustainment support planning, schedule, and execution of business case analyses to cross-program, and sustainment infrastructure considerations. Develop responses to routine and short notice requests for briefings, papers, and status reports related to capability delivery and field integration. Participate in meetings and track, coordinate, and follow-up on action items through closure; provide status report. Review and coordinate briefings, deficiency reports, diminishing manufacturing source reports, and related technical documentation for compliance with executive level presentation. Manage response to actions, which includes preparing draft responses, coordination responses, and complying with agency tasking and coordination policy.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

-Bachelor's degree with experience in one or more of the following areas or equivalent experience: analysis, integrated logistics support, systems engineering or other technical area.
-The candidate must be a self starter who can represent the customer in a variety of Navy and Joint forums.
-The candidate must have thorough knowledge in Aegis capabilities, Naval operations and sustainment, reliability-centered maintenance planning, and in-service engineering support.
-Candidate must have a proven understanding of DoD and Navy Life-Cycle Management (LCM) and Integrated Logisitc Support (ILS) processes, preferably as they relate to sustainment of Aegis CG/DDGs.
-Demonstrated ability to work from high level guidance to produce timely and effective results is highly desirable.
-Individual must be independent, experienced, proactive, self-motivated, willing to ask questions, and must be willing to take on projects not necessarily in their skill set.
-Familiarity with the Aegis BMD organization, as well as other organizations within MDA in addition to general experience in working with the Navy and DoD is a plus.
-Must possess an ability to lead portions of the activities, work effectively with many people from multiple organizations to facilitate problem resolution, coordinate meetings / agendas, and draft presentations; communicate effectively, and clearly present approaches and findings.
-Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Office 2010) to include Power Point, Word, and Excel is required. Familiarity with basic Internet / Information sharing portals and website / database applications.

-Active SECRET clearance is required. Must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI.
