Senior Finance Partner
Leading FS business based in London are currently looking for a Business Manager to provide senior support to the Fixed Income COO in the strategic, tactical and day to day delivery of the Fixed Income's commercial objectives. The role will have specific responsibility for Financial Planning and Analysis, Reporting, Operational Risk and Control and leading individual projects and other activities as required.
Financial Planning Analysis
• Manage Fixed Income’s Medium Term Financial Plan; including the creation and maintenance of the plan’s underlying revenue cost models
• Manage, deliver maintain the annual Revenue, Opex Capex Budgets; working with key stakeholders in Commercial, Risk, Operations IT to ensure an integrated budgeting and planning process
• Manage the consolidated Fixed Income business plan
• Deliver Monthly Market behavioural analysis by product
• Advise the COO on the impact to business plans of current future changes to external internal variables (e.g. volumes, tariffs costs)
• Represent Fixed Income in the quarterly review negotiation of cost allocation methodology to ensure the appropriate allocation of indirect costs
Reporting
• Manage the external internal reporting activities of the Fixed Income Business Management function
• Develop Fixed Income Management Information to better enable decision making the management of the Fixed Income business
• Develop Client Management Information to enhance the Client experience
• Provide reporting cover for junior members of the team
Operational Risk Control
• Manage Quarterly Operational Risk reporting (Operational Risk Dashboard, Permanent Control Report and Combined Assurance Report)
• Manage Operational Risk issues from initiation through to resolution, identifying actions, owners timelines
• Manage audit issues from initiation through to resolution, identifying actions, owners timelines
• Represent Fixed Income Commercial at the monthly IT Service Management review (reviewing tracking Operational incidents through to resolution)
Projects
• Work with the COO on the definition management of strategic projects, including the analysis, review recommendation of:
o Commercial Business cases
o Market mapping of competitor landscape
o Market structure review
o Regulatory analysis
o Fee review
• Manage specific Client facing work-streams of existing projects
I am looking for a Qualified accountant, ACA/ACCA/CIMA who is likely to be 5-7 years PQE with strong fixed income knowledge, potentially within a product control remit or finance partnering role. We are looking for someone who can grow into the role and has strong product knowledge with the gravitas to manage and develop relationships.
