Our client is a market leading Oil Gas service company, who operate internationally across all regional markets. They offer a diverse range of services to support development, production and decommissioning of major Oil Gas projects. With a strong market presence in Australia, this organisation is currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team.

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager for Australia this role will consist of broad responsibilities encompassing financial and management accounting. These responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

• Management of the month end process
• Monthly review of multiple business unit PL's
• Revenue reporting on a monthly basis locally, regionally and to corporate
• Quarterly Revenue and Royalty reporting
• Statutory accounting
• Assisting with budget preparation
• Co-ordination of audit process
• Support the delivery of Operational and Strategic Plans and the integration of newly acquired businesses

The Successful Applicant

You will be CPA/CA qualified and possess a minimum of 5 years accounting experience. Preference will be shown to candidates either looked to move from a Senior Audit role into commerce or to a candidate who has current oil gas services or resources experience. This position will require you to possess strong AIFRS knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with corporate and operational management. Additionally you will possess prior experience using an ERP system (SAP/Oracle/JDE) and ideally Hyperion.
