Senior Financial Accountant - FMCG - Dublin - 55K
My client - A leading global FMCG Brand have an immediate vacancy for a Qualified accountant - ideally Big 4 or Top 10 Trained with 2+ years PQE in Industry.
Reporting to the Financial Controller this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant for a progressive career move and to gain management experience.
The role is initially a 9 month contract with a strong possibility of permanency.
Responsibilities:
- Provide detailed, meaningful reconciliations for key Balance Sheet general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Full responsibility from monitoring movements reviewing accuracy of transactions, through to audit clearance for these accounts.
- Intercompany Accounting - Prepare all month-end schedules, ensure that all reconciliations are fully completed, all recharges are accounted for and counterparties notified.
- Ensure all balances are confirmed with our counterparties, agreed to the TB, signed, dated and filed at month end.
- Prepare monthly stock report of Goods in Transit for both Home and Export markets.
- General ledger and P L analysis for statutory accounting and tax purposes.
- Reviewing accuracy of Fixed Asset Reports and Schedules each month.
- Analysis of capital spend for Tax purposes (specifically capital allowances) and statutory purposes.
- Liaise with auditors with regard to fixed asset queries.
- Check to ensure correct allocation of capitalised assets into asset categories to ensure subsequent depreciation rates are adequately applied.
- Month End Reporting - ensuring all month end activities are completed with accuracy to scheduled deadlines
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA)
- 2 Years Post Qualification Experience in Industry - ideally FMCG or Distribution
- SAP Experience is essential , Expert Excel desirable
