Senior Financial Analyst
The Senior Financial Analyst – Projects position will provide financial commercial support and direction around reporting, analysis and advice on all matters relating to Revenues, Expenses, Project Finances and Balance Sheet matters to the V.Me or Mobile Loyalty workstreams and provide support on strategic partnerships
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist performance and decision making by providing robust analysis. Act as the interface between the Business and Finance for relevant touch points. Build trusted relationships with the workstream and Business Finance teams.
- Management of Business Cases – Financial modelling of Business Cases. Ensure all Business Cases are kept up to date. Provide scenario analysis on Business Cases to support decision making.
- Help to build effective relationship with strategic partners by ensuring financials are clearly reported in a timely manner.
- Key input for all financial planning for the relevant workstream including Forecast, Budget and 3 Year plan.
- Support preparation and review of all relevant papers going to Pricing Committee, Programme Steering Group Business Leadership Group, Portfolio Board and EMC.
- Financial Control – ensure sound accounting treatment is maintained (e.g. Capex/Opex, Accruals etc) and that all costs are maintained within budget.
- Gain an understanding of revenue drivers and market conditions to be able to support the business in achieving revenue targets and to be able to provide advice on corrective action as/when required.
Essential Criteria:
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified (or equivalent)
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- The post holder is likely to possess experience of working in a financial analyst (or similar) capacity post qualification (or equivalent)
- Multi level stakeholder management experience (including senior stakeholders)
- Ability to interrogate data and ask probing questions to determine information
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle/Hyperion financial suite
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Good MS Powerpoint skills
