Senior Financial Analyst – Beverly, MA

During the late 1980’s and into the 1990’s, CSL began expanding its international operations and formed a new business unit, CSL International, based in the Boston, Massachusetts area.

- Reporting directly to the Director of Finance/Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the following:
- Analyze, interpret and communicate revenue, cost and expense variances to management through regular reporting cycles.
- Provide concise, comprehensive and strategic recommendations to management based on financial trends and data analysis.
- Manages the forecast and budget processes. Develops, maintains and deploys budgeting and forecasting models/templates.
- Responsible for researching and gathering required data for preparing Board presentations. Provides necessary analysis for support.
- Works with management and functional groups to establish and report on meaningful KPIs to assist in driving optimized operational results.
- Tracks business results against expectations, liaising and communicating with business counterparts to collaboratively analyze and deploy actions that positively impact forward results.
- Performs ad hoc financial modeling and analysis as required.
- Works with the corporate group to develop and manage the company’s financial reporting systems and databases.
Qualifications and skills:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, with focus on financial planning and analysis
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Commerce or related field required as well your CPA or CFA designation
- MBA or Master’s degree in other Finance discipline a plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with experience in financial modeling and analysis
- Proven experience in forecasting and budgeting at the division or business unit level
- Experience in shipping or other logistics businesses, highly desirable
- The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team, have strong communication skills and be results oriented
- Seasoned experience in Microsoft office products
