The Systems Architect develops software and system solutions to meet Almac CT's business needs, supports the development, management and execution of various business projects under the overall enterprise architecture framework. He/she is responsible for providing high quality consulting services on all project assignments and works as part of a project team to ensure that the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches customer requirements. The Architect must be able to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines, understand how enterprise architecture is used to facilitate change through sound investment decisions and be able to develop and interpret Enterprise Architecture artifacts.  Responsibilities include:

 

Provides technical expertise and guidance; participates in design reviews; validates technology approach and associated work products on projects to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

Conducts cost analysis studies to determine feasibility of various approaches.

Captures technical requirements and defines technology solutions; creates the conceptual, logical and physical design of the solution to ensure appropriate technology is acquired and implemented.

Works with team members, on-site consultants, partners, companies, third parties, and clients to define, develop and deploy technology solutions.

Assists client in defining strategic technology direction for solution. Provides input in selecting business application packages and vendors.

Evaluates future technologies and determines strengths and weaknesses of technology architecture, implementation and suitability; recommends solutions to ensure consistency with the company vision.

Works on project life cycle from requirements through design, implementation, and support to ensure implementation of appropriate technology in every stage.

Actively participate in the requirements, design and build phases; delivering high quality deliverables.

Assist with planning and execution of unit, integration and user acceptance testing.

Have an advanced understanding of the main features of IXRS and other required components; their features and limitations.

Assist in the identification of enhancements to the core base product.

Facilitate knowledge transfer of IXRS and IVRE functionality

Complete work on time and on budget. Provide proactive updates to Enterprise Architect on project status and escalates if timelines or effort estimate are in jeopardy.

Researches technological advancements to ensure that information systems are continuously improved and aligned with industry and company standards; designs and provides updates to standards to enhance company solutions.

May collaborate with and provide direction and guidance to other systems analysts/programmers and may act as a Project Leader.

Assists in increasing the productivity and effectiveness of the organization by defining standards, best practices and promoting reuse as it relates to technology.

Manage time allocation methods for cost and expense management

Follow compliance to administrative and regulatory requirements

Establish, maintain and encourage high quality standards

Attend company and staff meetings
