Senior Financial Analyst Job in San Jose, California US
The PayPal North America Finance team is looking for a motivated individual to support North America Product and Sales teams. In this role, the individual will perform budgeting, forecasting, month end close, variance analysis and reporting related to operating expenses and headcount. In addition, this role will work closely with cross function teams to provide ad hoc analysis.
It is a great opportunity to learn the fast growing PayPal business and develop relationship with various teams of the business unit as well as corporate.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Conduct month and quarter end close and reporting processes
- Complete monthly forecast analysis, participate in annual budget preparation long term strategic planning
- Monitor expense and headcount plan vs actual, and provide analysis/recommendation for business partners
- Work with budget owners to build business cases and set up processes to manage the spending of new projects/initiatives
- Work with teams to identify resource needs and advise on spending/investment decisions
- Maintain and optimize existing Opex processes to improve efficiency
- Ad-hoc analysis projects as needed to support business needs
- Work autonomously but in collaboration with teammates and business partners.
- Superb attention to detail and work with high accuracy
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional team.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in a fast growing technology industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office application
- Proficient in budget and reporting applications including Essbase, Khalix Longview and SAP
