Role Summary/Purpose
- The role requires the learning and understanding the control electronics, signal processing and firmware associated with the photo-acoustic system at the heart of the multi-gas analyser. You will work with the current photo-acoustic team in order to grasp the fundamentals of the hardware and firmware foundation, with an aim of being able to develop the next generation of analyser. This knowledge will be used to support and improve the current generation of instrument.
Essential Responsibilities
- To take a lead in facilitating the knowledge transfer of the embedded hardware and firmware that is at the core of the multi-gas analyser.
- Fully document the firmware and signal processing technology.
- Work within a team of engineers and specialists with a commitment to increasing the product’s first pass yield.
- Develop an ability to understand, maintain and upgrade the embedded firmware technology in order to improve the core functionality and performance.
Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor or master’s degree in electronic engineering, software engineering or equivalent.
- Strong embedded hardware/firmware development experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Embedded C

- Analog Devices DSP
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
