Senior Fixed Income Application Support Analyst
My client is a hugely successful Investment Bank who posted record profits in 2012 due to exceptional performance across the business. The Fixed Income E-Trading Support team require a technical support analyst with solid knowledge of Rates and Credit Trading (in particular pricing knowledge) as well as an excellent understanding of Unix / Linux systems, SQL and E-Trading Applications.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop their technical skills on the ION platform, learning an extremely valuable skill and working in a small team interacting directly with the business.
You will be part of a small ION Marketview support team, working alongside the ION SME with a view to bringing you up to the same standard. While in-depth ION experience is not a pre-requisite, you must be familiar with the platform and display the aptitude to rapidly pick up the necessary knowledge.
Your CV must show evidence of ALL of the following:
• Excellent knowledge of Unix commands and navigating the Unix environment to investigate issues
• Strong knowledge of SQL and writing basic queries - ideally more complex stored procedures
• Knowledge of Bloomberg TOMS would be a significant advantage, although ION Marketview is key
• Knowledge of Fixed Income products, including Pricing methods (Bonds, Swaps, etc.)
Although there is a certain degree of flexibility in some of the more specific requirements, a strong combination of both technical skills and Fixed Income business knowledge is essential, as well as knowledge of the ION platform.
