Senior Foreign Exchange Analyst recruitment

Overview:

We are looking for a talented FX market analyst to produce real-time FX coverage. FX is at the heart of the Thomson Reuters Markets franchise. The real-time wire focus is on giving market flows, chart technicals, rumors and commentary in new, multimedia formats. We are looking for a quick, sharp writer who can cut to the chase of the key market moves and bring the life the numbers behind the action. We need someone who is plugged into the FX market and can do reporting on the daily action. We need a strong team player who can coordinate with reporters and FX analysts across the globe. The real-time FX reporting team is the first to get behind market moves, explain the market signals taking shape and give views on what's coming next. We are looking for someone who can bring ideas and energy to our product as we connect dots across the markets. The successful candidate will be comfortable writing quick market and macro analysis with confidence to give clients ideas that differentiate us from the competition.

Responsibilities:

Author real-time FX reporting on daily market moves under pressure
• Stay on top of the flows, technicals and rumors driving the market
• Turn raw reporting into clear writing and ideas
• Do smart technical charts that tell a story
• Come up with ideas on how to improve the real-time FX product
• Work closely with FX reporters and analysts across the region
• Write incisive, original commentaries on the markets
• Make important cross-market connections quickly

Skills

Proven track record in the FX market, either trading or analysis and In-depth knowledge of technical analysis
• Solid writing and editing skills
• Expertise in FX derivatives, including option pricing and strategy
• Good understanding of FX client needs, both sell side and buy side
• Basic understanding of 3000 Xtra and/or Eikon ideal

Desired Skills:

Experience in client-facing role a positive. Must be a good team player. Excellent writing and editing skills and expertise with spreadsheets a positive.
