Senior Freight Trader
This is a position of considerable responsibility within a well established trading house.
The responsibilities encompass the classical spectrum for a role of this nature:
-Pricing, hedging, trading, chartering as well as a drive to bring new third party business to market and covering your own book.
Required skills and experience:
-10 years of experience in chartering on a dry bulk basis. Panamax class experience is the clear first choice but Handy can be considered if all the other aspects are present.
-Broad experience of chartering, both voyage and time.
-A good industry network for third party business development, ideally you will be doing this in your current role as well
-Managing the book risk and hedging that risk as needed
-A resilient and confident mind set combined with a reliable and dependable nature
-Fluent English, other languages a bonus
The perfect candidate will be performing a very similar role for another trading firm at present.
