Responsibilities: Design, prototype and develop compelling, easy to use, easy to maintain, web applications working closely with our Sr. UI Designer, Product Management and Engineering teams Utilize current web application development technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and MVC frameworks such as Ruby, Python, PHP Work closely with Product Management, UI Design and Engineering to help define product requirements and then take those product requirements and transpose them into robust web applications Pragmatically solve problems quickly, efficiently and effectively Help to establish standard web development practices for the company Requirements: Should have at least 5 years of experience developing web applications in a fast-paced, innovative environment Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Strong technical skills in HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery Familiarity with MVC frameworks such as Ruby, Python or PHP Knowledge of MySQL, Ajax, Photoshop Java skills are a definite plus Must be knowledgeable across the major browser types and have detailed understanding of compatibility issues across browsers Knowledge of current trends in accessibility, performance and usability in front end web application design History of stellar performance that demonstrates creativity, assertiveness and above all else, consistent achievement of goals History of leading web development teams in the past is a plus Proofpoint, Inc. helps the largest and most successful companies in the world protect and govern their most sensitive data.
