Our client, a leading global investment bank, is looking for top-notch developers to join their growing FX IT team to work on their strategic, multi-year projects.
This role is initially a one-year contract with concrete plans for perm-conversion or contract extension.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the FX desk to understand business requirements and provide tactical strategic technology solutions to meet these requirements
- Provide hands-on design/architecture, development testing and roll-out of enterprise applications
- Collaborate with regional/global technology teams to develop/deliver integrated solutions
- Provide Level 3 support for the desk and build trusted relationships
Skills Required:
- 5-10 years of professional development experience
- Strong core java development is required; Must be comfortable with threading, inter-process communication, XML-based messaging
- Proficiency in C++ is highly preferred but not mandatory
- Familiar with relational databases and SQL
- Excellent communication: able to express ideas clearly and concisely - Ability to work directly with sales/traders/quants
- Ability to work well with regional/global teams
Skills Desired:
- Experience with C#, TCL, and Linux/Unix development environment
- Experience developing high throughput / high-performance systems
- Knowledge of Foreign Exchange Trading systems
